Lynn demonstrates how to make a very simple dessert — Strawberry Cheesecake Mousse. This is a very easy dessert that can be served for any occasion. From Alchemy Baking Blogspot and Pinterest.

Makes 4 servings

8 ounces cream cheese
2 cups fresh strawberries, stems removed, washed and sliced
½ cup heavy cream
½ cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla

More sweetened whipped cream for topping, if desired
More fresh strawberries for topping, if desired

Place cream cheese, fresh strawberries, vanilla and powdered sugar in a food processor or blender. Puree them together until smooth. Then place the cream cheese mixture in a large bowl.

Whip the heavy cream just until stiff peaks form. Fold the cream cheese mixture and whipped cream together.

Spoon mousse into individual bowls, glasses or cups. Refrigerate for a few hours before serving. Top the individual servings with sweetened whipped cream and a fresh strawberry, if desired.

  1. The whisks that I use come from Ikea or the small one is Magic Whisk that can be found on Amazon. The whipped cream canister is by iSi and can be found probably at Williams Sonoma or online. I got mine at a local kitchen supply store. Hope this helps.

  2. That sounds like a very pretty way to serve this mousse. Thanks for the idea and I am so glad that you enjoyed it. Have a great Memorial Day.

  3. Thanks to you!! By the way, I didn't have any fancy martini glass like yours so I just took a normal short glass and stuck thin slices of strawberries on the inside before pouring the mousse, it gave it a really cool look 🙂 just a different idea… cheers!

  4. Lynn, i love this mousse. It´s elegant and easy to make because all the ingredients are on hand. Another great recipe!

    Happy day!

  5. It would be fine to make a day ahead. I would wait until right before serving to add the whipped cream, but other than that it would be great.
