Jamie shows us how to make a truly authentic, traditional and classic Spaghetti Carbonara. The dish uses two traditional Italian ingredients; a cured meat called Guanciale and Roma’s staple cheese, Pecorino Romano. This is the perfect Italian treat! Enjoy!

  1. Finally a nice carbonara!!!! The thing is, you added a bit too much water and pepper, but that aside, it looks like the Italian dish (I’m Italian) bravo!!!!! Avevo paura che ci mettessi la panna o una schifezza del genere

  2. Jamie Oliver has very often destroyed Italian recipes and I thought he had also destroyed the carbonara. This time it did not happen. Correct recipe, in a couple of details I do not agree with him, but in principle this is a true carbonara.

  3. He thinks he’s Italian. He’s doing his best to try and pronounce the ingredients in an authentic way. Such as eggs.

  4. I made this today, only change was whole wheat pasta, because that is what I have. Amazingly delicious. Fiance wants it again soon! I was nervous about screwing up the egg. Watched a few other videos to make sure I got it right.
