OLD BIUCKELL CANNON One of the cannons with which Joseph Brickell armed his trading vessels about 1797for defense against French encroachments on American commerce. Brickelllived at Greenville and this cannon in now in the cemetery. While being used to celebrate the election of John Spiers to the legislature in 1836, apremature discharge killed two negroes and injured several other people.
