Get a bottle from your druggist | 20 Children Like These BROWNIES 2 squares unsweetened choc-olate, melted 1/3 cup butter or othershortening, melted % cup flour k tsp. soda hi tsp. salt 2 eggs % cup sugar % cup nut meats, coarselychopped V2 tsp. vanilla Mix melted chocolate withmelted butter and set away tocool. Beat eggs and sugaruntil light and thick. Add tothe chocolate mixture, blendingwell. Stir in nut meats andflavoring. Mix flour, sodai andsalt together and sift threetimes. Combine with other mix-ture and stir until smooth.Bake in greased shallow panabout 30 minutes in a moderateoven (350F.). When cool, cutin squares like fudge.
